              Hi Sharkfans
Just to let you know that I am heading up country on Tuesday and will be taking the Sharknose master to the factory for molding. It should only be a few days and we will have a price and an estimated delivery time too. Keep your eyes on this thread or subscribe to it to get the latest info. I am expecting the first batch of about 45 loco's to be sold out almost straight away as the interest in this has been massive, with a lot of guys in the USA wanting pairs of them. If there are sufficent orders then a second mold will be made and another batch produced.
              Cheers

This is great news!  Hopefully there will be enough interest for a Shark "B" to be produced!?!?

                Thanks,   Jay

                  Hi all
Well I dropped the Shark master off ok and the molding guy was very happy with it, we should have  asolid price and time frame VERY soon, I will post about that when we know anything more.

I also got the very last bit finished which is the master for the lost wax brass castings, it is the two different types of steps and the loco horn. This will be going off to be cast in the next week or so.

As regards a "B unit" being produced, if we can clear enough kits to get the massive cost outlay covered for the "A units" and we then have a definate minimum order for people interested in "B's", we can have  alook and see if it is possible to do. Personally there is no reason why we won't do it other than how much free time I have to produce the master and if there are enough people to make it viable.

                  Cheers
                  Rob

Well I am one of those who will not be buying one, mainly because I could not afford it, but also because my inept handling of anything to do with construction is so inept it is ridiculous. I have just tackled the very knotty problem of constructing one of the HLW flat wagons, and I managed to bills that up. I have looked on with great admiration since the beginning of this project, I think it is superb, and like many of you have always liked the "Shark". I wasn't always useless though. This was the last ever of thousands on Revells Monograms Auroras Kitmasters Airfixes etc etc. I am waiting with envy to see some of the finished Sharks. Go to it, chaps

                          Hi Shark fans
Well it's good news at last, we now have a solid price for the kits and pretty good idea on shipping costs too.
The mold has been paid for and is being made now so it won't be very long before we have the first body delivered for approval and then full production can start.

I would like everyone that wants to have a kit to get in touch with me via PM or email and register your interest officialy so we can get an idea on order numbers. Pete (Mr Spock) on here is just organising getting a PayPal account set up especialy for this so that folks can pay easily, as soon as this is done then he will ask for payments to be made and then as soon as the parts are in they will be shipped out to you.

The Kits are £250 each, this is for a body, front pilot/plough, etched grill fret, cab interior, fuel tank and cast brass details.
                          The shipping will be:
For one kit to the USA £45      or £60 for two

To Germany is £25       or £30 for two

To the UK is  £15    or £20 for two

I hope to hear from you guys soon and I hope that you have enjoyed teh thread on how this model came into being. I also look forward to seeing some "build threads" from the army of Shark fans that have been following this.

                          Cheers

Even if I had the dosh I wouldn't DARE touch one of these kits, I would just break it, and if I put a paint spray or brush near it, that would be the end. Looking forward to seeing some when they are finished, what a stupendous project

For those unfamiliar, which includes me, of the Baldwin Shark family might find this PRR web site interesting.  It shows drawings of the various types both passenger and freight.

Fantastic news Rob, it is a real shame that Rio Grande did not use them, as a kit would have been on the 'definitely wanted list'.

Doesn't fit with my steam era but also can't wait to see some of these made up and painted.  Superb effort and a great thread to follow.
