A picture with every post.

This is just for a bit of fun. The title says it all. Rule 1. Post a picture with every post. Any picture of any railway subject, model or full size. Rule 2. The text in your post can be on any (reasonable) subject - comments on previous pictures, explaining your picture or even coffee room type comments.

Whilst I found N Gauge a little too hard on the eyes I did enjoy building a layout in this scale - seen here in an unfinished form. I found scenery construction far more enjoyable than I thought it would be and what I really liked most was actually running the trains as way of relaxing.. So what & surely that is the whole point I hear you say; Yes I agree but I'd always seen myself as much more of a constructor of railway models than someone who actually enjoyed running them, but now see that I'd been far too hooked up on making things as accurate to prototype and in fact never actually ran anything. As I have removed my WTOB from the living room floor this evening for room cleaning and a layout redesign I realise how much I actually do enjoy running trains and shunting now that I can't do it for half an hour before I go to bed tonight. Maybe I'll sort myself out with something else to run for those (hopefully few) times when I am without my G scale set up.

How about this one, all isn't what it may seem. The location is actually Minffordd on the Ffestiniog posing as a far flung part of the Empire on the occasion of a visit of Adrian Shooter's Darjeeling B class loco, May 2005. The young gentleman is one of my grandsons.

Please do not adjust your mind, there is a fault in reality.

I enjoyed the recent family holiday to Somerset , a part of the world I had only passed through before. The area around the Quantock & Brendon hills is an area of outstanding natural beauty which then ajoins the Exemoor National Park.

Its really great when another member of the family takes enough intrest to want to design and build something for your railway instead of just saying OH that looks good dad !!!!!!!!!! Youngest Son Sam starts on his vision of a bridge made from polypipe still needing more to the sides its a work in progress but in my book a giant step in father son relations Tony

How many orange high-viz outfits does it take to water a Bulleid Pacific? "Tangmere" at Hastings, hauling the Sussex Belle excursion - a trip that was part of my 65th birthday treat.

Another weather type. This one is titled "A soggy Saturday" NHN2 might appreciate.
You don't have to be mad to play trains on the TVBL....but it helps if you're a little loco! Being long retired, I've discovered that now I work a lot harder than before, it's just that nobody pays!
