INDOOR MEET, ESSEX, SATURDAY 14-04-12 11.30am---4.00pm

I am hiring my local village hall for another indoor meet on 14-04-12.  If you have the time come along with a loco or stock to run, or anything else "G". All are welcome. No charge but any small donations towards the hire of the hall would be appreciated.
LOCATION---- THE VILLAGE HALL
                      THE STREET
                      SALCOTT CUM VIRLEY
                      ESSEX CM9 8HL
 FROM THE A12 AT KELVEDON FOLLOW THE SIGNS FOR "FIVE LAKES"
 WHEN YOU REACH SALCOTT  CROSS ROADS GO STRAIGHT OVER & FOLLOW THE STREET FOR ABOUT 3/4 OF A MILE. YOU WILL SEE THE HALL ON THE LEFT, OLD SCHOOL BUILDING WITH A THAMES BARGE WEATHER VANE ON TOP.
 If it goes well i will look to do a meet each month through to April.
Please note i only have analogue power to track

Great idea Stuart, sadly I won't be able to make it though.

Sorry Stu, but looks like I've got tickets to Warley on Saturday....

This sounds like a great plan, and I would love to have supported it, but unfortunately I'll be away this weekend as well - not at Warley, but at a wargame show down in Reading (hopefully taking lots of cash off the punters there in return for little metal figures).
 
If it goes well and you decide to host another one, Stuart, I'd certainly try to make it!

Looking forward to seeing you together with your locos & stock. The hall is compact but there should be a reasonable running line. If coming via the A12 you will need to take the Kelvedon exit & then follow signs for Tiptree & Five Lakes.

Many thanks for organising this afternoon's meet.  It was great meeting everyone.  I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the American locos and stock.  The sounds from Mike's steam loco were truely memorable.  I am looking forward to hearing the sounds of different cows in his wagons!
 
Audrey and I are very much looking forward to meeting everyone again in January.

Is anyone going to next weeks meet organised by the Essex Area Group of the G Scale Soc? Sunday 27th November, Roxwell Village Hall, 11am onwards.

Many thanks for some excellent organisation, cakes, pork pies, plenty of tea oh....and yes....trains.
Superman effort to get all that track down. If certainly got put away a lot quicker
My Accucraft K27 seemed to love having a great expanse of track which was beautiful and flat to run on. She hasn't pulled that much in years!
 
Nice to meet new folk like Martin and Audrey, Alan and Bill as well as the faithfuls, Don and Evelyn.
Martin's LGB box cab locos are so great looking.
I have always loved the look of them and having seen Martins's collection, I am wondering ....would the Beaver Creek Transportation Company have bought one in from Europe for their roster???
 
A total success Stuart. Great village hall too. As you know, getting the to the next one may be difficult for me but a great thing has started!
