Like it! But it's beyond my pocket? Travelled on one of these from Tirano to St Moritz, in the Spring of 2010....

Very nice. That will keep the RhB people happy. Makes a good addition to the current range seeing as how its largely RhB and HSB. Not cheap but there again LGB isn't and it is a three car set. The pound has crept up against the Euro lately, and by the time the discounters get thier mitts on it, irt could be about Ł1000. That makes it good value against the Yellow railcar

Deutsche Reichsbahn Allegra now official: http://gscalenews.com/neuheiten-2012-lgb Of no interest to me, I'm afraid, not even for the promised 2013 delivery. Wonder if it'll be cancelled if orders don't pour in? Come on Marklin. Release some of the old favourites. The black Corpet with factory-fitted MTS hardly had a chance to sell when it was issued. Say 300 Euros and I'll have one tomorrow.
Chef Des Trains: Ruritanische Staatsbahn/ Uritán állami Vasutak/ Ruritanian Railways Off the beaten track in Middle England (but worryingly close to Bromyard)

Will be interesting to see if it follows the near scale modern models or the much shortened Ge4/4 III. Those Allegras are very long

What annoys me is ' new for 2012' but won't see it till 2013. It's something bachmann do a lot of in OO. Still not my thing but nice they are expanding the range will it be scale length....

Very good news indeed! And a bit surprising. As I understand these units are dual power in the real world and will be used both on the Bernina Bahn (BB) and the Stamnetz (StN)? And what is the difference between these Abe 8/12 and Abe 4/16?
