 LGB Short Cabose

Does any body know if the bodies are a straight swap from the two wheel version to the four wheel version.
 
I am trying t secure a four wheel cabose for my Christmas train to match all the other stock but they seem rather rare or expensive and i just wondered if i can swap the bodies over as i have a four wheel chassis in stock with the wrong body on...
 
Please see pictures below for te two types.

    Pretty sure they are the same body. Think the 8 wheel version had a lot less detail inside. Tend to find LGB are cleaver with tooling, indeed the later US passenger stock is a standard planked euro coach body with just a bogie chassis and different roof.

      All i have to do now is secure a 4wheel version. but these appear more often and for lessThumbs UpThumbs Up

        I'm getting a little confused do you mean 4 axel rather than 4 wheel?
         
        I have some caboose parts but not sure which you want!

          Indeed i did mean axle and not wheels silly me.....I am try to obtain a 4axle christmas one in red.

            I have a spare bogies caboose of this type with a Santa Fe body and have a feeling that a have a new Christmas body missing detail parts.
