Best thing is one of the tiny Massoth M chips, specifically designed for this loco - fits into the little space in front of the motor block, a five-minute job to fit! They are about thirty-something quid, Jeremy at Dragon should have some.

How difficult are they to fit ie how many wires?
EDIT: Just answered my own query by looking at Dragon's site (!) - there are just 4.
Currently these are just over £38 from Jeremy with the 5% discount.
BTW the directions to his shop in the "Suppliers" section above are out of date now that he has moved.

The spec on the M decoder  is very close to the Locsound V3.5. I wonder where I could squeeze in a speaker ThinkingThinkingThinking

If you get a really small speaker as designed for smaller scale locos, there is room to hide one of up to about 20-22mm diameter inside the little coal bunker on the left side of the cab. This comes off with one tiny screw under the footplate, and is about the only useable enclosed space on the loco. The other place to put the speaker is to fix it under the cab roof, facing downward, with a simple "enclosure" made from blu-tack - I've done this with a Stainz, no reason it shouldn't work for the Feldbahn too.

Actually, if you use an M decoder in the front compartment for the driving unit, and run some extra power wires back to the cab, there is JUST enough space to squeeze a Massoth S sound unit into the aforementioned coal bunker, if you snap the unwanted end tabs off the S unit's PCB. Then put the speaker in the roof as above.

Just for reference the current draw is a peak of around 0.9 Amps.
I went for the ESU Loksound V4 as it's the same size as the M decoder and was a really easy fit.  Even allowing for Dragons discount it was £60 cheaper and needed less wiring than the M Decoder and S module option too Real Big Smile
