Curved points? If only, but I have been warned off TrainLine 45 points as they short out on the LGB collector shoes.

A little bit of thought and you can place straight points on a curve?

The junctions laid as part of last years extension have been fun to use and with the exception of the split level junction leading to the lower level have worked as built.
Their surroundings need some prettying up this year tho  Real Big Smile

My worst nightmare. I get so many derailments on the one point I have, Im considering taking it out.
Looks very good though and well laid.

With the greatest respect to your track and its laying - you seem to have a problem woth your point. I run 9 points so far and have very little problem with them. In fact, I find the great thing with G is that you dont get derailments.
The only repeating poblem I have had so far was the Piko Camel not liking an LGB R3 point in the facing direction. On closer inspection the frog had ridden up on the loose ballast and was higher than the outside rails - soon fettled. Thumbs Up

Brill pictures Keith. Have you got the power on yet. we could be over soon!

              Alan,

Power won't be on until Spring at the earliest - the spirals are closed due bridge repairs - the bridge started falling apart last summer and needs rebuilding:

At the same time have to remove and replace the breeze blocks on the section leading up to the bridge:

This is the only section of track using breeze blocks (kindly donated by one of my neighbours) and they are crumbling away. Replacements will be my regular aerated bricks - the first ones were laid about seven or eight years ago and are still going strong

Still plenty of work to doImpatient............

Thumbs Up In track design, I always try to avoid reverse R1 curves. Even a 'standard crossover' Thumbs Down or main to siding..... Annie and Clarabel just won't make it across.Impatient.... Like the way Gizzy has utilised the 'curved road' of the turnouts, that actually eliminates reverse curves. The only reverse curve I have, is R5.
