Trackshack shows 'Mannin' as being a 2013 production.

Thanks for flagging that up Neil, I have now updated it to read "Stock date to be advised, not before approx 2013 at the earliest."

It is quite possible that something else will appear before Mannin and thus push it back.

Happy steamings,

John

They say that Pevril will not be repeated when its run has finished, are they going to do the other two locos that were originally released a few years ago as live steam models, I think they wre Loch and Mona?

You are right Jack, it would make a lot of sense to do Loch or Mona in live steam, a natural progression for the tooling that has been evolved for Peveril.

Gap in name is a Manx joke, BTW.  That is how the nameplates appear, a free prize of nothing to the first to say why it's like that (and Lo ch)

Is it a injector overflow pipe that runs between the letters?

but then I don't really think we would want it quite like this..............................

You don't have to be mad to play trains on the TVBL....but it helps if you're a little loco!

Being long retired, I've discovered that now I work a lot harder than before, it's just that nobody pays!

I would be very interested to see a small boilered Peacock produced. I daresay a model with dummy Salter safeties would add some visual interest, especially compared to Peveril as modelled...

Indeed Matt - I should have excluded you too!!  A large nothing is on it's way to you, special delivery. Real Big Smile
Although to be pedantic - used to run between the letters! The overflow pipe isn't there any more.

Thanks for clearing that up, I just want a green one Love the particular loco is unimportant, but I accept that if its not to be , then thats that. A Paint job done to the required standard would be prohibitivly expensiveCrying
                    Cheers Garry.

A Dark Green version of any loco would be very nice indeed.............. Noted.

On the subject of radius it is now understood Peveril should cope with a 2'6" radius curve as long as drain cocks haven't been fitted.

Drain cocks?  Accucraft UK are now arranging for all live steam locos to be built with cylinders drilled and tapped suitable for DJB automatic drain cocks. As supplied out of the box the loco will have the holes fitted with blanking plugs, it's then very easy if the you want to buy drain cocks and fit them as an 'extra'.

I am waiting confirmation if Peveril has the cylinders with these holes, or did it just miss the boat on this new development?

                      Happy steamings,

That's an excellent compromise John- I for one wouldn't be confident drilling the cylinders, but like the idea of the draincocks. Has David been warned about the potential large influx of orders?! Real Big Smile
