This afternoon I spent a couple of hours cutting point boards for the valance on the front of the station canopy and sorting out a method of locating the roof glazing (upturned "T" profile plastic-strut)

then a coat or two of paint.

The plan is to fit clear sheet into the newly formed frames at the bottom, then a sheet of roofing the same width as the glazing will overlap the glass covering the higher white plastic area.

After a couple of mock ups and some thinking I decided the station roof should be tiles of the stone variety... and in this last picture a couple of the "glass" panes have been slid in to see how they look John

Sheer delight! See you've got that chap in the High Viz doing his inspection rounds. It gets the thumbs up from me anyway. Brilliant (as is your norm).

Don, the station wall is a rough stone plasticard, (slaters I think) apparently sold as OO ??? I got it from my local model shop who said he sold quite a bit to O gaugers.

I sat looking at the wall last night and realised a fundamental omission, I had forgot to do the mortar lines !!! Tried the paint on wipe off plan of quick lines, but as the stone has quite a lot of depressions I ended up with "mortar" residue on the stone face, not very professional from a builder ! So ended up painting them on by hand with a tiny brush. Here one side is done one isn't, I guess if you cant tell which is which I wasted my time !

It wasn't what to put between, more what style of construction. So here are the results, I have to say Im quite pleased with the what has developed..

Pallets and more pallets, pointing man is getting a bit miffed I think !!!

Made from balsa with a light stain added after assembly. I also added the mortar to the stone work behind before the building got to advanced this time !! John

Well some time ago in a now dismantled layout I dabbled with using a photo to extend 3D into the back scene with reasonable success....

With this in mind I have been trying with various pictures to create an interior for the warehouse... I think this is about the best and when the fork truck I have recently purchased on Ebay is sat in front of it, It may be nearly right
