Just messing about with the idea of a chimney

Looking good Steve.
Personally I wouldn't bother with a chimney, the prototypes tended to have a stove for heating with a metal flue through the roof.
If you want a chimney don't forget there would be a chimney breast and fire underneath, so having a chimney in the middle of the roof would mean a fireplace in the middle of the box!

Just don't let the stove go out, Steve, coz they used to stink something rotten when they did.

I worked in over 40 signal boxes (for my sins), not one had a fireplace so NO CHIMNEY, Steve.

Traditionally the tracks go right past the front windows. Access is wherever there is room, rarely at the front.
