Like the bogie car (s) - what did you do with the Bachmann leftovers (assuming you used two 4-wheelers)? If you did, and had part of the saloon left over, then with the toastrack you could make a California car. Just thought.

Here are some more of the Californian style; as a thought, one could also chop to make an Australian style car.   Clap Hands  Alyn

Great pics Alyn. Might have one for you if I can dig it out! I had the Manchester (UK) tram in mind when I commented on Syd's excellent work. Considering my interest in trams I realy ought to build some!

Leeds City Tramways' Brill Convertible car - No.49. Best of Both worlds?

A thought just occurred - Syd and Alyn - if you used a Bachmann enclosed, and a toastrack, you could have a pair of California cars and you wouldn't have to cut the rooves or worry about the motormen and conductors.

Yes that's the one Rob. Had a ride on it at Heaton Park many years ago.

I am pleased the thread has given you some ideas. I am currently making a works car from a Bachmann toastrack car, plus a couple of Bachmann repaints into Chocolate and Cream are in the paintshops.

This is another open and enclosed car.

Bachmann conversion on my layout, car has a Buhler motor fitted and bow collector, also wired for live overhead, (as all my cars)

Krauss Kasten Loks, first the Chemsee Bahn Lok, the next my LGB conversion with sound and smoke, the other pictures are of Krauss loks but fitted wth tramway skirts. Alyn

Always had an interest in tram engines. Started off with the idea of overhead (I did it in N gauge once) and got as far as making two traction poles and then bought a Big Hauler - lost track somewhere?

Nice pics again Alyn (and nice models  too). Thanks for posting.
