Busch 18v street lights

I've another plea for help please! I recently bought some second hand Busch street lights (model number 8621, green, about 8 3/4 inch tall) The box suggests that they are in two parts. However, I can't see how to access the screw in bulb and, as a couple of them light up intermittently, I need to tighten the bulb. Does anyone else have these and know how to get to the bulb?

Kevin, The lamp top does indeed unscrew BUT be careful - they're quite delicate - pole as well!

Wow, I see what you mean; delicate or what. I was afraid turning the top. Are they standard bulbs or only obtainable from Busch or their Suppliers?

Hi Kevin Be very CAREFULL when you unscrew the top, especially if they are used put a bit of thin oil or a tiny bit of wd40 on the join about 1/2 hour before you try, then clean of as soon as apart. (dont ask how i found that out)

Kevin Thanks Rob, excellent advice I will certainly take on board. They certainly are a tight fit! I spoiled 2 of them before i finally sat down and thought it through, Also when i put them back together i put some silicon lube/polish on the threads (got a spray can of the guys who put after market sun roof's in cars) works a treat, but not sure where you can get it from ??? One small can would do about 300 lights as far as i can tell.
