Automated passing loops

Hi all,    
        I have this idea of putting 3 passing loops inside a mountain but would like it to be automated ie train into track 1, setting of track 2, train in track 2 sets of track 3 train in track  3 then sets of track 1 and so on. Could anyone tell me if this is possible and how to wire it up. I do use Massoth DCC does this matter or not

Item-No.: 8170001 This is what you want. Massoth part. you would also need loco magnets, and track contacts.

It shows how to do it on two tracks so all you have to do is expand it.
Your Navi will need programming as well

I have finally got round to starting to build my mountains, as they will be to long to reach onto I have had to design them so as not to be attached to the fence, just in case.

 I will not be doing any more to the mountain for a while, but I can show you how I built the first mountain, same method really but upgraded the method.

Would a thread about making a concrete mountain be useful to anyone, and where would it be best placed.

Thats some mountain. Just put double doors on it and you could get your car in as well.

     I will sit watching TV tonight and put together a thread about building mountains. The first one I built was about 10 years ago and was made out of Glass. That's right Glass. Fiberglass but that was before i got a camera. I may if I look hard enough find a pic or two that I can scan. Will have a look.

Believe it (or not:rolf I had a mind to use chicken wire and render it with a lightweight shuttering inside. My first (and only) mountain was built from rubble and rendered but as I find it difficult to pick up and place chunks, a hollow mountain seems the right way for the next one.

Great mountain Peter, it certainly giving the effect that you wished for, it reminds me of when I made diaramas in HoN3. Same principle but a darn site bigger.
How has the cement lasted? Did you use plasticiser and waterproofing agent in it? Will you be making tunnel walls through the mountain incase of derailments depositing kit onto the ground? 
Last question..... have you got a long pole with a hook?

I would have thought that it would be doubly dangerous with hidden points/switches.

    The track bed while have 9" high sides so as to prevent any items falling any distance, and the fence panels are still able to be lifted to give full access to the tracks under the mountains. I also intend to install a small camera connected to a monitor in the train room, (this will be along with 2 others I have at places I cant see to well). The Property next door is our Methodist Chapel, of which I am a member, and I have obtained permission to enter at any time, and also to put a small gate type panel in so as I don't have to go all the way round to get to the other side of the fence, should the need arise. I hope this puts your mind at rest as to the safety precautions I have in place.

I have just replied to Graham as to the safety side of my tunnel so as for its construction, here goes. First I made sure the track bed was very secured and as I wanted it. This was then covered with old chicken wire, then covered in large old bed sheets, This was a mistake as over the years it has rotted away from under the concrete. These bed sheets where applied wet so as to help with shaping and then a thin coat of very runny brick laying mortar was applied all over and allowed to set a few days. this created a shell like covering and made it easier to trowel on two coats of thick rendering.  The first coat of mortar was 5 soft red sand to 1 cement. the other two coats where 3 to 1 of grit sand and cement.The first photo shows the wire with sheet covering. the second shows it when first finished, and the last 2 shows it today after 10 years of ware tear and weather changes.
