A pity I didn't go a bit further along the road alongside the reservoir to compare it with now. It's being so cheerful that keeps me going

'Tis interesting, the number of old roads you see that should really have bee railways (in your mind), and then you come across old railways in the most unlikely places.

A month ago we were on Lundy (tiny island bird sanctuary at the Atlantic end of the Bristol Channel) walking along the cliff/hillside on, you guessed it, and old tramway bed.

I don't think they had engines, just ponies.

I rest my case. Not so, mine's yellow in the middle as well! Charles Dickens once wrote; "It is a far, far better thing" then spoilt it by continuing!
