Yes, the class 31 is coming down from Miles Platting, quite unusual tratction in those days for the north west area.

Yes, the train is appraching the curve at the Vulcan Foundr junction (can't remember the junc name), hence the 70 board.

found these in the shed yesterday, I was on the tools when this happened , we had to close the A406 and set up diversions for those of you who know the area , we had to send all traffic for the A406 and A5 over the staples flyover to neasden , funny enough we were resurfacing the carriage way in that area so the bill went to BR . I think this just about scrapes under the wire date wise.

Wasn't that where a brake hadn't been applied on the siding there, with the first loco pushed over by the second?

In case anyone happens to be interested in any more of my BR blue era photos/slides, I've started loading some onto Flickr which saves posting any more of them on here.
Click on the link below to find a DMU at Machynlleth and then look at the "BR Blue" set on my Photostream.

Looks like the new experiments with double-decker trains is not going too smoothly..............

                Nice set Stephen Thumbs Up

Thanks - I'll be adding more in the coming weeks, as I've got as far as 1985 in my scanning programme now!
More North American and European ones will be going in their respective sets as well for those who aren't too bothered by UK trains....Real Big Smile
