H&MGR, a family railway in NZ

Kia Ora all I'll rebuild and to this thread about our families railway, without the inspiration of G Scale Mad there wouldn't have been as many photos as I now have to choose from to post here at G Scale Central. So lets open with a wee tribute pic
Then a old but favourite pic
My Dubs A is rather special too me, a scratch build body on a heavily modified Bachmann Porter underframe, so it will feature quite a bit.

Our railway leans to a theme of a logging tramway that has developed to carry a bit of local freight...
So we have a Bush jigger as well as a Climax...
And Jonny works down at the sawmill (well the siding is laid, the sawmill still to be built :loser:

I like the one of Dubs rounding the bend over the bridge and the back of the feldbahn diesel John - they are all very good pictures though.

John it's great to see your line re-emerge. I like the first picture and its link to your old thread. Of course, the Dubs is an absolute icon. So idiosyncratic and such a great model.

Rather windy in sunny Tawa today so instead of running trains I'll spent a little time posting some old piccies. As our railway is a family affair not all trains are "serious" Here the Directors, Hannah & Michelle are organising a "My Little Pony" express. :bighug:

We have lots of animals scattered around the railway...
Some more lively than others
Some interesting wild animals are place as discreetly as they can, but I'm more than happy to have anything the Directors thing will look good on the railway.

Then one could use the Lemon as a background...
and there's that Dubs A again This is our Beckside Works / H&MGR Workshops joint venture tram engine passing the Lemon during one of it's first runs.

We've had our share of rubbish this spring, i.e I should be out there now, but it's got decidely overcast now. But on good days with all our trees I like to work on how the light plays...
Me thinks the farmhouse would be a nice place to live
Or over the trestle ...

Or easing out down hill with a loaded log train...
Or the trestle from another angle, with the church as foreground fill...
Or down in amoungst the undergrowth

Time is marching on here, the light will soon fade
So best hope on a train down to Kakariki...
Where it seems the young lady may be serving some tea...and I'm hungry
But don't rest easy..there will me more...later
